AHRA AND STERLING PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

Continuing its re-branding efforts and to prepare for the AHRA 2010 Reunion Tour, the American Hot Rod Association announced today a partnership agreement with Sterling Productions to produce licensed apparel and souvenirs to be available both online as well as at Reunion Tour events across the U.S. and Canada.

“We’re very pleased to have Sterling Productions alongside us as a marketing partner as we bring our AHRA brand of drag racing to the fans in 2010 and beyond,” said Troy Moe, CEO of AHRA. “They have a long list of satisfied customers in the motorsports world as well as major retailers and top brands, and we are counting on their experience to help us navigate the waters.”

AHRA REUNION TOUR TO BE BROADCAST ON FSN

The American Hot Rod Association announced today that each event of the entire 2010 AHRA Reunion Tour will be broadcast on Fox Sports Network as entitled highlights features on “Inside Drag Racing” produced by Masters Entertainment Group of Bristol, Tenn.

“This is definitely the direction we want to head, Fox Sports is where we want to be, and to have a television deal this year to offer our fans and drivers is very exciting,” said Troy Moe, CEO of AHRA.

AHRA Terminates Thunder Road Raceway Park Agreement

The AHRA has terminated their business relationship with the principals of Thunder Road Raceway Park in Shreveport, La. including the official AHRA sanction of the track and facility, AHRA CEO Troy Moe stated Tuesday afternoon.

All scheduled AHRA events planned at the venue have been effectively cancelled.

“It’s an unfortunate bump on our road to kicking off our Reunion Tour, but we had to make a tough business decision in line with our long-term goals,” Moe said. “We have so many good things going on right now, we have to remain focused on the positive, exciting energy that is the AHRA.
