WOW, what a great turnout of teams this early in the season. That must mean one thing…..they are tired of the snow and time to burn some rubber. For the 3rd race on the TOPMA circuit 18 teams rolled into Crandall, Texas to try and keep Team Taylor from a 3peat. The win didn’t go to Taylor but it didn’t go far…..teammate Wes Johnston of Hanning Racing took the win with Team Taylor finishing 2nd. Here’s how everything unfolded:

SAINT LOUIS, MO (March 18, 2010) — With only one day left to prepare for the 2010 ADRL Universal Technical Institute Dragpalooza VI, the Barklage Racing Team is wasting no time as they gear up for this Friday’s qualifying rounds at Houston Raceway Park. “We had a pretty good run at Crandall,” says Cody Barklage of Barklage Racing Team. “We ran a 3.71 at 200mph, so we were pretty happy with our performance.” Barklage Racing traveled from Lake Ozark, Missouri to Crandall, Texas, to test their Pontiac Firebird at Dallas Raceway. “Everything went on without a hitch,” recalls Cody. “We’re so excited for Houston. We finally feel ready.”
